The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), erstwhile DOEACC Society, is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It was set up to carry out Human Resource Development and related activities in the area of Information, Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT).
NIELIT is engaged in both formal and non-formal education in IECT and has established itself as the country’s premier institution for examination and certification in the field. It is one of the National Examination Bodies that accredits institutes for conducting IT courses in the non-formal sector.
Through its wide range of courses — from ‘O’, ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Levels to IT-literacy programmes such as CCC and BCC — NIELIT has, over two decades, built deep expertise in IT training that shapes computer education across India.
